Some aspects of trucks suck.

Why is the exhaust underneath?!? When idling in the bed I sometimes smell exhaust. It was dumb to put exhaust under the truck in the first place.

Truck keeps shutting down or derating

I purchased my used truck from the Freightliner dealership earlier this year around 2/23 didnt start driving it about 3 weeks later after I purchased it so around 3/23 based on getting plates and registration paperwork. So for the first 4 weeks no problems then suddenly after the next 4 weeks since Ive owned the truck its been going back and forth to at least 5 different dealerships for the same reasons derating and shutting down for loss of power. The most positive part off it all is that most of the work is covered under an extended warranty that was left on the truck when I purchased it but it seems as if there stretching out the corrections right until my warranty is up and then they will say weve found the problems

Resolved: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on Tiffin Allegro RED 340 38LL Motor Home.

Update by user Mar 11, 2023

Freightliner did not get back to me. So I called them.

Now TAG Truck company said Spartan Industries was being called to work on it with them. That is what Freightliner said needed to be done.

Spartan finally got the problem solved. The TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) is working now.

I have my motor home at TAG Truck Company in Memphis, TN. I bought the Tiffin Allegro RED 340 38LL with Freightliner Engine on March 24, 2022. From the beginning there have been recalls on it. I have had it in TAG's shop on three occasions for the same issue. That being the TPMS. My warranty will run out next month and I am afraid that the system will not be fixed or fully fixed. I just want to know if the whole TPMS unit needs to be replaced since it has had so many problems. TAG has been working on it hard and are now talking with your engineers troubleshooting the problem. I want to know if this problem continues past the warranty period what is your policy if your TPMS system has been faulty from the time I purchased this motor home. I would like this problem fixed once and for all so I can start enjoying the vehicle as designed.

Still waiting to get part number off the mcm part so I can find a remanufactured part and still haven't got from end checked. No paperwork yet to sign off on warranty work. They have done nothing they said they would do on the phone with freightliner complaints. I need my truck done completely by February 8th 2023 Dawn Boyd Phone number 321-298-****

User's recommendation: Don't go to Elkton Freightliner.

Emergency exits

I drive a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia with a sleeper birth and if the ever caught fire there is NO EMERGENCY EXIT IN THE REAR OF THE SLEEPER you are going to get burned up with the truck thank you freightliner for putting our lives in jeopardy just for you to cut corners and save a few bucks

User's recommendation: Add and emergency exit to your vehicles.

Heating and Cooling system on M2112

Hello, We currently have a 2005 and 2006 M2 112 Freightliner which we have had in 3 different shops, but neither one of them could fix our issue. The issue we are having is with the A/C and Heater not working correctly. The 2006 started having problems in 2015 when we had the harness and blower motor replaced, but on hot summer days the cool air only blows maybe for 1-2 hours per morning and now the heat does not work at all going into the winter months. The 2005 started having issues of the same problem in 2018. Is freightliner aware of any other trucks from that year having similar problems that we can tell our mechanics to look into to try and fix this problem.
